With over 15 years of experience in the fashion industry and a Ph.D. in progress at Glasgow Caledonian University, Michelle brings a rare combination of industry expertise and academic rigor to one of the world’s largest and most pressing sustainability challenges. On paper, the clean energy transition can look straightforward. In reality, it’s anything but.

From buildings that can’t physically support new technology to policies that shift overnight, deploying clean energy at scale requires navigating constant trade-offs.

Jahi Wise has spent his career working at the intersection of policy, finance, and implementation. and now, as the new lead instructor for Yale’s Innovation course, he’s bringing that perspective into the program.

He shares what it really takes to move projects from concept to reality, and why the “gray space” between policy, finance, and implementation matters most.
