What does graduate school look like when life does not slow down? ๐จ๐ค
For Erika Arconti-Galassi โ26 M.A., it meant balancing work as a teacher, clinician, and mother while completing the Master of Arts in Art Therapy and Counseling (MAATC) program at Albertus Magnus College.
The MAATC program is designed for adult learners who are integrating graduate study with ongoing professional and personal responsibilities, not stepping away from them.
Her final research focused on parental burnout among working mothers and examined how art therapy can help make sense of stress, identity, and emotional overload across multiple life roles.
Her work reflects the realities many adult learners are navigating, and the kind of applied, reflective learning this program is built to support.

โAt one point, I thought Iโd never be able to go back.โ
For years, Jessica Milano โ27 balanced raising her three children, caring for her son with autism, running a business, and working in real estate while putting her own goals on hold.
Now, at 41 years old, sheโs pursuing her bachelorโs degree through Albertus Magnus Collegeโs Accelerated Adult Undergraduate Program while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
โItโs my time to do something that Iโve been wanting to do,โ she said.
Through flexible 8-week courses, the program helps adult learners continue their education while balancing careers, family life, and busy schedules.

This is what opportunity looks like in action...๐จโโ๏ธโ๏ธ
Tate Reilly โ27, a criminal justice student at Albertus Magnus College, completed an internship at the New Haven Superior Courthouse under Judge Brian T. Fischer.
With support from our Career Services team, Tate was able to step into environments most students only read about, including time with prosecutors, public defenders, and exposure to a wide range of court proceedings.
The experience challenged how he thought about the legal system and helped him discover a deeper interest in law and public service.
