The Tagalog@Yale initiative began as a simple idea: to bring accredited Filipino language instruction to our campus. Today, we are proud to announce that Yale has officially advertised for a Filipino (Tagalog) instructor position, with courses slated to begin in Fall 2025.
The success of this program hinges on finding a passionate and qualified educator who can bring the language to life in the classroom. We encourage qualified individuals to apply and invite our network to share this opportunity widely. The full job advertisement can be found at:

While this news marks significant progress, we recognize it as a beginning rather than an end. The real work of establishing a robust, enduring Filipino (Tagalog) program lies ahead. All of us at the Tagalog@Yale team are committed to supporting this transition and ensuring the program's long-term success.
