Congratulations Jenna !!
Join me in congratulating Jenna Palermo, a recent graduate from Southern's exceptional Studio Art program. A student of Professor Mia Brownell, her work is influenced by technology, current events, and biology, and she fondly refers to her illustrations as “creepy little dead things”. Her mediums include oil paint and ink. Check out her works on Instagram: or enjoy her senior exhibition here:

Congratulations Sandra!
Check out the works of recent Southern graduate Sandra Theoharatos! A student of Professor Mia Brownell, Sandra graduated with her Associates Degree from Gateway Community College in 2014 and recently received her Bachelor’s in Studio Art at Southern with a minor in Anthropology. She notes that by painting distortive, circular compositions and psychological themes, she forces her viewers into accepting someone else’s reality and in so doing, her work provokes sensations of empathy and nostalgia.
