The 2024 ASL Showcase at New Haven High School's cafeteria is tomorrow night, Wednesday, May 1 at 7. This event is for all, Deaf, HoH, or hearing.
Please consider coming out for a night of music, signing, and seeing some very hard working students show off their acquired skills. They have worked all year to learn or continue learning American Sign Language and about Deaf culture and history. ASL 1 learned about translating from English to ASL and vice versa. (No, it is not a word=sign translation! It is conceptually based and requires a lot of extra thought to properly translate the meaning between the 2 languages.)
There will be judges there to judge and award the top three performances, as well as an audience "fan favorite" award.
