Southern Connecticut State University's Academic English for Multilingual Students program is a five-week intensive designed specifically for incoming college students who want to build confidence in academic reading, writing, and discussion before their first semester begins. And full scholarships are available!

This isn't a basic ESL class. It's college-level preparation taught on campus at SCSU by SCSU faculty that gets students ready for the real demands of higher education:

📖 Reading and analyzing college-level texts
✍️ Writing evidence-based, multi-paragraph essays
🗣️ Participating in academic discussions and presentations
📚 Building the vocabulary and critical thinking skills professors expect

By the time the program ends, students won't just be ready for college, and they'll feel like they belong there.
