Our annual conference is happening next Saturday, April 4! This year’s theme is “Embracing Revolutionary Optimism: What can we Build Beyond the Institution.” Come be in community with us and discuss what the climate and opportunities can be as we navigate new social terrain within the academy. The conference is free and open to all! 🌀🌟🤍

Event: “Fight Like a Girl” Screening and Discussion with the production team

Description: Based on true events, Fight Like a Girl follows Safi, a young Congolese woman forced to work in an illegal mineral mine, escapes her captors and finds a new life for herself after joining a renowned all-women’s boxing club in the border city of Goma. Based on the true story of an East Congo all-women’s boxing club and their ex-child-soldier coach, Fight Like a Girl was shot on location in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda.

This screening is presented by Through the Eyes of She Initiative in partnership with the Whitney Humanities Center, Yale Schwarzman Center, Yale African Students Association, Yale Office of International Students and Scholars, Yale Department of French, and the Yale Women’s Center.
