This week our preschoolers are celebrating the end of the school year with their beloved Special Week! From Pajama Day and Crazy Hair Day to Hat Day, Water Day, and Costume Day, each day brings a little extra fun and excitement.

One of the things that makes Cold Spring so special is that community extends far beyond the classroom.

Our Gratitude Gathering brought together families from Preschool through Sixth Grade for an evening of connection, conversation, and simply enjoying one another’s company. It was a chance to meet parents whose children may be years apart, share stories, laugh together, and strengthen the relationships that make our school such a close-knit and supportive community.

We often talk about the importance of community for children, but it matters just as much for the adults who help make Cold Spring what it is. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped create such a warm and welcoming evening. We’re already looking forward to the next one💚

Rob was out sick for School Meeting… so naturally, we turned to a 5th grader and asked, “Want to lead the singing today?”

Without missing a beat: “Sure!”

No practice. No rehearsal. No stage fright. Just a child who felt fully comfortable stepping into the moment because that’s the kind of community we build at Cold Spring.

A place where children grow up feeling seen, supported, and confident enough to say yes to something unexpected.

There’s something special about watching former teachers reconnect with the students they once knew so well 💚

Yesterday, one of our former associate teachers returned to visit just as their class prepares to graduate from Cold Spring. The joy and genuine connection between teacher and students was such a beautiful reminder of the lasting relationships built within our community.

Even more inspiring, they shared stories about their journey since Cold Spring — now serving as a head teacher and teaching around the world, including most recently in Costa Rica. What a gift for our students to see where curiosity, passion, and joyful learning can lead. 🌎
