Approximately 476,000 people will contract Lyme and other tick-borne diseases in the United States this year!

Statistically, 1 in 5 of those cases will fail standard treatment and develop life altering chronic illness.

We need to keep our federal funding.

Section 504 protects students with special needs and keeps doctors and hospitals from being able to deny medical care to patients with disabilities (yes we need a law for that).

If you live in any of these 17 states please call your reps and AG and tell them to drop out of the case against section 504!

Had a great day with Center for Lyme Action Washington state advocates at the Lyme Fly-In event!

We met with 6 representatives from around Washington state to share our stories and information on why federal funding for Lyme and tick-borne diseases is needed!

Despite the news of massive cuts to medical research funding the overworked congressional staff were extremely interested in what we had to say and asked some great questions this year!

Thank you CLA, and the over 500 advocates who volunteered this year!

I’m grateful to know such a great group of humans. 💚💚💚

Two lovers on a quest 💘

Ticks "quest" when seeking a host. When a host brushes against them, they climb aboard. The pair will mate on the host, and the female will feed for 6-13 days until engorged, when she will drop off and lay eggs.
