Sunday, April 12, students who eat in residential dining halls will participate in the Erase the Waste: Boola Bowl Challenge, a food-waste awareness event and a collaboration between Yale Hospitality, Office of Sustainability, and the Sustainability Peer Educators.

During family dinner (5-7 pm), students in each dining hall will be invited to take part in a shared challenge focused on food waste awareness and everyday dining habits. At the end of dinner, food scraps will be measured and shared as total amounts, by dining hall, and adjusted for the number of guests, to help our community see how everyday dining choices shape our environmental footprint.

Inspired by students, it’s a college-wide opportunity to celebrate friendly competition while making sustainability part of everyday life. The residential college with the least amount of food waste will earn informal bragging rights, and more!

🔥 Calling all Yale Foodies! Join us on April 1st for the next fiery Foodie event: The Heat Lab. Sample hot sauces and vote for your favorite. Space is limited. Registration is required to attend. Come join us if you can take the heat! 🧯

Congratulations, Krish! Krish was a winner of The Veritas Search and got to craft a custom menu in collaboration with our amazing Yale Hospitality employees. This Friday, March 27th, Grace Hopper students with full meal plans (no transfers, this is a special meal just for them) will get to have Krish’s menu at his Veritas Search Winner Dinner. Krish is bringing flavors from home (India) and his mom wrote down her recipes to advise many of the menu items. Once again, we had so much fun collaborating with students to bring this Veritas Search prize to life. It’s been a great collaboration. We hope Friday is everything Krish imagines! Will you win for your residential college next year? 💙💛

Congratulations, Krish! This Friday, March 27th, Hopper College students (no transfers, it will be a special dinner just for them) with full meal plans can enjoy Krish’s custom menu, created in collaboration with Yale Hospitality! Krish is bringing home flavors of India- and more! Many of the dishes came from recipes his mother wrote. Very neat! We had so much fun this second cycle and hope Friday is everything Krish hoped for. Will you win next year for your college? 💙💛
