Hi everyone!
Last year, a contingent of Yale CS and CPAR majors virtually attended the AfroTech World, Grace Hopper Celebration, and SACNAS conferences. On Friday, April 2 at 4 PM, they will be describing and discussing their experiences at these conferences, such as what they saw, and who they met. Come to hear about these experiences, and find out how you can help send a Yale contingent (which may include you!) to the same conferences next year.

Hi All,
The Women in Science at Yale (WISAY) and the Women in Science at the Nencki Institute (WISaN) in Poland have joined together to host a virtual discussion with Prof. Eileen Pollack.
Prof. Pollack is one of the first two women to earn a Bachelors of Science from the Physics Department at Yale, and the author of the book “The Only Woman in the Room: Why Science Is Still a Boys' Club”.
This event will take place on March 25th at 1PM ET, and will provide an opportunity for scientists in Poland and the United States to learn from Prof. Pollack’s research on the cultural, social, psychological, and institutional barriers confronting women in STEM, to brainstorm with allies on how to promote gender equity in STEM internationally, and to form new networks with scientists from another institution.

Dear All,
The Computer Science Department is devastated to hear of Professor Eisenstat's passing.
He touched the lives of every computer science student and faculty member and has been a member of the Yale community for nearly 50 years.
We are collecting memories of Professor Eisenstat that will be compiled in a book and sent to his family.
It would be greatly appreciated if you could take a few minutes out of your day and submit your memories and stories below:
