Did you know that late summer is the best roofing weather we get all year? Dry decking, warm shingles that seal properly, and (usually) no rush to beat an incoming storm front.

An inspection completed this time of year will reveal what is actually there, and any repair we make has ideal conditions to bond and cure. Try that same work in November, and you are fighting tougher conditions and temperatures the whole way.

Do you know whether your roof made it through summer without a scratch? It's definitely possible, but wind damage rarely announces itself.

The three signs we see most often after a stormy stretch are shingle tabs that have lost their seal and lift slightly in a breeze, granules washing out at the bottom of downspouts, and dark staining around chimneys or vents where flashing has shifted. None of it is very obvious from the ground, but all of it will let water in eventually.

We will tell you honestly and directly if your roof is fine. Call Brian at 860-309-0493 for a quick inspection before New England fall weather sets in.
