Hear, hear!

I’m reminded of the early 2000s when I absolutely tore through the 20+ volumes of the Heartland book series as a young rider.

I can credit it (along with Considering the Horse, Mark Rashid) with helping to form the bedrock of my holistic horsemanship philosophy by introducing me to the idea of wellness centered alternative therapies like TTouch with Linda Tellington-Jones.

I’m seeing more and more coaches talking about rider biomechanics and I LOVE it!

(Positively Dressage was at Chelsea Canedy’s just this last weekend!)

“Push your two pack forward” “Like holding a credit card at the back of your armpit” “Keep the bar level”

I love this stuff! But why does it matter!?

Yesterday we launched our unmounted rider biomechanics summer class by answering that question!

Beneath the traditional dressage training scale is the often unseen horsemanship training pyramid.

You may have heard “Regulate then Educate”.

But there is a middle piece: ORGANIZE!

Regulate >> Organize >> Educate

An organized rider organizes their horse.
An organized horse hears an aid more clearly.

We have a few spots left in our Tuesday morning class where we experiment with how to organize off-horse where there’s no pressure for perfection!

2026!

Where else can you spend a full week screen free with 60+ young riders supported by a team of incredible pro mentors!

The format at Junior Horsemanship Clinic provides just enough structure for the kids to take responsibility for their horse and build their independence as equestrians.

The kids all bring their own horses and stable them on the GMHA grounds. They ride in two 90 minute lessons each day: with their primary camp instructor in the morning and with a different instructor in the afternoon.

When they are not in lessons, they are responsible for the care of their own horse and attend barn management lessons.

Hard work and good fun!

As an instructor, I love the opportunity to work collaboratively with all of the experience and insights of the other instructors!

I’m out of town or this spot would be filled! I can’t recommend Suzanne highly enough!

If you can’t take a horse, GO AUDIT! The nuggets of info to take home are GOLD! And there are always some good laughs!

Only 𝙊𝙉𝙀 rider spot remains for our Rider Biomechanics Clinic with Suzanne Galdun of Positively Dressage! 🏇

Whether you're a competitive rider or simply looking to improve your effectiveness, comfort, and partnership with your horse, this clinic offers valuable insights for every level. Auditing spots are also available for those who want to learn without bringing a horse.

Planning to ride in our July clinic with Lauren Sprieser? This is the perfect opportunity to prepare—Suzanne is Lauren's own biomechanics coach, making these two clinics an excellent combination for riders looking to elevate their performance.

Horses are authentic partners who take us as we are. They offer safe, real-time feedback on how we show up in the world. For neurospicy kids (ages 10-13) navigating social challenges, this small group offers a supportive space to build genuine friendships, with the horses and each other, by reading body language cues, interpreting needs, and predicting behaviors.
