Tired of waiting on traditional college schedules to start your career? So was Lori!
When Lori was accepted for a master’s program at another university, she didn’t expect to have to wait until the following semester to start. Having already completed her Bachelor of Science in Animal Health and Behavior at Unity, Lori knew her journey with us wasn’t complete. By the time she would have started her program at her previous choice, Lori was only a few months away from earning her master's degree with Unity.
Currently, Lori is:
Director of Spirit Keeper Animal Sanctuary
Founder of Behavior Education LLC
PhD Candidate in General Psychology - researching relational congruence and incongruence among companion snake keepers, in relation to social support.
Adjunct Instructor in Unity’s Animal Health and Behavior program!
Lori took Unity’s online programming to the next level. By taking some of the coursework, she developed it into research and professional projects that continued long after the course was over.
Her advice for future and current students:
“Read beyond what is required, and whenever possible choose assignments and projects that have real-world relevance to what you want to do.” “If you want to excel academically and make your coursework useful beyond earning a grade, it takes drive, self-motivation, and hard work.”
