Please help us to welcome Ms. Jammie Salsbury to the Bulldog family! Ms. Salsbury will be entering a role a a paraprofessional for the upcoming school year. This will be her 9th year as a paraprofessional, with 6 years spent in a life skills role, and 2 in a classroom. In her spare time, Jammie enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. Welcome to Ms. Salsbury!

We would like to welcome Mr. Everett Dufur back to the Bulldog family! Everett will be a paraprofessional at New Franklin this year. He graduated from NFHS in 2021, and recently received a bachelors degree in psychology from UMKC. Mr. Dufur has experience as a Registered Behavior Technician and provided instruction and therapy for youth and adolescents. In his spare time, Everett enjoys playing the bass guitar, reading sci-fi/fantasy books, and painting board game miniatures. Mr. Dufur says he is thrilled to join the great team at New Franklin and is looking forward to a fun year! Welcome Mr. Dufur!

The New Franklin School staff is ready and excited to kick off another amazing school year! The first day of school is Tuesday, August 25th, and we can’t wait to welcome back our students. Let’s make it a year full of learning, growth, and great memories!

Reminder that there is a meeting for the parents of students planning to be involved in any sport or cheerleading (both MS & HS) during the 26-27 school year tomorrow (8/20) at 6:30pm in the New Gym. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Booster Club will host the fall sports pep rally to introduce the community to the softball, baseball, cross country, and girls golf teams. We hope everyone can attend!

A big THANK YOU to Sergeant Kalen Linneman of the Missouri State Highway Patrol for conducting our annual Active Shooter Training with New Franklin R-1 staff today.

The safety and security of our students and staff is always a top priority. Training opportunities like this help ensure that our employees are prepared, informed, and ready to respond appropriately should an emergency ever occur.

We greatly appreciate Sergeant Linneman for sharing his time, knowledge, and expertise with our staff and for the continued partnership of the Missouri State Highway Patrol in helping keep our schools and community safe.

A huge THANK YOU to Exchange Bank of New Franklin for once again showing tremendous support for New Franklin R-1 Schools! Exchange Bank generously provided T-shirts for our entire staff and treated everyone to a delicious lunch from Premier Meats of New Franklin as we kicked off the new school year. We are extremely fortunate to have local businesses like Exchange Bank that continually invest in our school, our staff, our students, and our community. Your generosity and continued partnership mean so much to all of us! We also want to thank Premier Meats of New Franklin for preparing a fantastic lunch for our staff!

A huge THANK YOU to the New Franklin PTO for providing our staff with an amazing Back-to-School Breakfast on Monday morning! It was a wonderful way to kick off the new school year, and we greatly appreciate the time, effort, and generosity that went into making the morning special for our staff. Attached is the bracket for the 2026 Boonville Lady Pirate Leadoff Classic softball tournament being held on Saturday, August 29th. The Bulldogs will open play against Boonville at 9:00am at Rolling Hills Park.
