The relationships that our member schools have with our community partners and supporting organizations allow them to create life-changing opportunities for students.
Here is a picture of Maritza and Melissa, San Miguel Academy San Miguel Program 8th graders, starting their first day of flight school at RedTail Flight Academy at Stewart Airport. Thanks to Glendan Fraser, Program Director at RedTail, for extending the Tuskegee Airmen scholarship to SMA students. SMA's, STEMPilot, Inc program is at the center of its multi-discipline STEAM-based curriculum. With the national shortage of pilots, STEMPilot will help provide the path for students to pursue a career in aviation.

Our member schools work on an extended-day, extended-year schedule that only works through the interconnection and collaboration of the efforts of every role player at our schools:
-Administrators who navigate schools toward mission accomplishment
-Operations Directors who work to provide school sustainability
-Advancement & Development teams who share the great work being done by our schools and the ways community partners can offer support
-Admissions Directors who share the opportunity of attending an NMC school to parents and students
-Teachers and Counselors who provide the daily support, knowledge, and skills development for our students
-Grad Support Directors who support our students from middle school to career attainment
The 2026 NMC National Conference allowed our role players to connect and collaborate with their counterparts from across North America and return to their schools inspired and energized for the year to come!
The NativityMiguel model works. The shared vision of all teams at our schools is how our small, independent schools can produce big, life-changing results. Use this link to locate and support the mission of an NMC school in your region: https://www.nativitymiguel.org/school-directory.

Day 2 of the NMC National Conference in St. Louis was PACKED... with our members and breakout sessions that ranged from our flagship Graduate Support programming, effective implementation of Restoration Circles, programs to support students that do NOT follow traditional education and career pathways, innovative curriculum for educating today's learners, and navigating the evolving fundraising landscape in private education. We poured A LOT of information into our members during our second day. And many of those sessions were led by the amazing staff who work at our schools.
The NativityMiguel model works. It is sustained by the knowledge, expertise, and dedication of our members who work hard to ensure that each student becomes their best, authentic self. We were thrilled to welcome over 130 attendees from over 30 of our member schools to the 2026 National Conference! We did not do it alone. Our host schools- Marian Middle School, Loyola Academy of St. Louis, and Access Academies at Saint Louis University provided invaluable support during our three days in St. Louis. We also were humbled by the generosity of our conference sponsors- The Boniface Foundation, the Jack Kent Cook Foundation, Rookly, World Tutors Academy, and LevelEDUP Leadership.
Thank you.
Many members braved some crazy weather in the Northeast and powered through travel interruptions that included major flight delays and cancellations to join us. Nevertheless, our members greeted us with smiles and joy upon their arrival. (The ones who could not make it were sorely missed.)
The first day of our conference saw our host schools provide tours and offer opportunities to share their best practices with visiting members. Our opening keynote event showcased the powerful testimony of Mary Elizabeth Grimes, the President of Marian Middle School, which reminded us all of what a powerful tool "hope" can be for our students.
And that was just Day 1.
The NativityMiguel model works. Our members and the community partners who support our mission are why. When we all gather together in one space, the energy is electric and the results are impactful. I am excited to share some of our stories from the conference in the coming days. Our member schools operate on an extended-day and extended-year schedule. That extra time provides an environment where intentional and in-depth learning can happen, and relationships are built. The STEM Camp at Nativity Prep Academy is one example of that. Thank you to Hands-On Technology Education for leading the camp where the students tackled experimental projects like building rockets and marshmallow towers, activating handwarmers, identifying blood types, and extracting DNA!

Our member schools provide opportunities for students to build connections between academics, culture, and art. The students of Sisters Academy of Baltimore got to visit the Walters Art Gallery and explore the work of Douriean Fletcher, the jewelry designer behind the iconic pieces featured in Marvel's Black Panther! The opportunity to explore how history and culture can influence art through entertainment and custom designs is an impactful experience that these young ladies will not soon forget.

We share the excitement of Nativity Academy of Houston for the construction of its new 3rd floor! At the start of the next school year, the school will have a new science lab classroom and another middle school homeroom. We are excited to see the magic that will happen in these new spaces!

San Miguel School Washington DC, may have just inspired the next generation of Supreme Court justices. Here's why:
"During their 2026 Servant Leadership Seminar this week, our 8th grade Miguel Men received the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to privately tour the Supreme Court of the United States. Thanks to our friend Chris Maloney, our students explored the Supreme Court Library, Courtroom, Great Hall, and even the basketball court!
At San Miguel, we recognize that first-time experiences like our recent SCOTUS visit are as formative as traditional classroom learning. Through programs like the annual Servant Leadership Seminar, our Miguel Men actively grow in character and leadership, preparing for success beyond middle school."

Our member schools provide opportunities for their students' skills and abilities to shine. The Our Art Enrichment Program at is a great example of what those opportunities can produce.
The NativityMiguel model works. Look at the talent our extended-day and extended-year calendar uncovered! This type of schedule and environment gave the Nativity students the chance to explore their creativity, build their confidence, and express themselves in this unique way. None of it would be possible without the generous support of our community partners. We join Mother Teresa Middle School in celebrating its 15th year of transforming the lives of young people in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Use this link to read how a challenge issued by Mother Teresa herself led school founders Paul Hill and Carol Hill to search for a way to make a difference in Regina: https://www.sasktoday.ca/regina-today/regina-news/how-a-dream-inspired-by-mother-teresa-changed-lives-for-15-years-12440497.
That search led them to create a school in the NativityMiguel model. The results of that decision are what we celebrate today.
The NativityMiguel model works. It is a model that is producing life-changing results for students who attend our 52 member schools across the United States and Canada. Use this link to locate and support the mission of an NMC school in your region: https://www.nativitymiguel.org/school-directory.
