Pensos Summer Academy

The Pensos Curriculum is specially designed to facilitate interdisciplinary learning while providing students opportunities to discover their talents. The flexible structure of our unique curriculum provides us the freedom to adapt to the questions and interests of the class. Students will go on tours and field trips to visit landmarks throughout New York City while participating in project-based competitions and science experiments that encourage thinking outside-the-box.

Pensos is a not-for-profit organization founded and operated by high-school and college students who not only know the building blocks of any impactful and profound education, but also understand that playfulness and student-centered discovery is key. At Pensos, we believe in a style of teaching and learning that transcends simply tests and memorization and gets at the heart of what it means to educate. We strive not to instruct, but to serve as a guide to students as they embark on their own quest for knowledge. Our goal is to let students exercise creativity and problem solving skills to discover for themselves the principles of humanities and science. Throughout our innovative summer program we seek to bring curiosity and exploration to the classroom.
