Pre-reading tip: Start with the sound. 🔤

When introducing a new letter, pairing the letter symbol with its corresponding sound gives children an early connection between what they see and what they hear.

This type of intentional repetition and multisensory practice helps strengthen letter-sound knowledge, which is an important foundation for later decoding and reading. 📚

While it may look like a mess, this sensory bin is actually teaching them critical early STEM concepts.

By using water and containers with holes, they are figuring out how drainage works in real planters so roots don't rot.

Sometimes frustration is a sign that their brain is GROWING. 🧠❤️

Our job isn’t to remove every frustrating moment. It’s to teach children how to move THROUGH them. Children need teachers who can be firm without being harsh, calm without lowering expectations, and patient enough to help them work through the hard moments.

Because the goal isn’t to prevent frustration.

It’s to teach children that frustration doesn’t mean they have to quit.

school should be an extension of home. If a child , would like a snack while other kids are working, they should be allowed. If a child requests some time to rest, that should be allowed. They are tiny humans, not robots. 🥹❤️
