Forward Journey Adult Day Services Forward Journey is an enriching day program for adults with multiple, severe disabilities. Reimbursements cover a portion of our costs.

With full-time onsite nursing and assistive technology, participants can engage in a variety of personalized, enriching activities while also enhancing functional mobility. Forward Journey uses the innovative MOVE™ program (Mobility Opportunities Via Education/Experience) to incorporate movement throughout the day. We’re proud to be the first MOVE™ for Adults Model Site in Delaware, and third worldwide. Forward Journey is a certified provider of adult day habilitation services through the Delaware Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDDS). This is enough to make our program functional, but not a great place to spend the day. As a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, we rely on donations to fund the extras to make it an extraordinary day. We have locations in New Castle and Kent Counties, and our vision is to expand throughout Delaware.

In September, Forward Journey Adult Day Services was recognized as a Highmark Bright Blue Futures Awardee. "Celebrating impact and innovation in community health".

"As the 2026 Awardee for Social and Community Context, Forward Journey is recognized for its groundbreaking MOVE(tm) program (Mobility Opportunity Via Education/Experience), the first of its kind for adults in Delaware. With 69% of participants maintaining or improving mobility - nearly double the national average - the organization is helping individuals live with greater dignity, connection, and independence."
