Forward Journey Adult Day Services Forward Journey is an enriching day program for adults with multiple, severe disabilities. Reimbursements cover a portion of our costs.

With full-time onsite nursing and assistive technology, participants can engage in a variety of personalized, enriching activities while also enhancing functional mobility. Forward Journey uses the innovative MOVE™ program (Mobility Opportunities Via Education/Experience) to incorporate movement throughout the day. We’re proud to be the first MOVE™ for Adults Model Site in Delaware, and third worl

dwide. Forward Journey is a certified provider of adult day habilitation services through the Delaware Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDDS). This is enough to make our program functional, but not a great place to spend the day. As a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, we rely on donations to fund the extras to make it an extraordinary day. We have locations in New Castle and Kent Counties, and our vision is to expand throughout Delaware.

🎉 Please join us in welcoming Lauren Gordon, LPN, to Forward Journey as our new Program Nurse!

Lauren brings more than a decade of nursing experience, having served as a Staff Nurse at The Mary Campbell Center since 2014. She has extensive experience providing compassionate, hands-on care to individuals with disabilities, administering medications, monitoring health needs, maintaining medical documentation, and collaborating with families and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Passionate about promoting the health, safety, and well-being of the individuals we serve, Lauren will work at our New Castle location alongside Erin Chandler, Director of Nursing, and Kalyn Gibbs, Charge Nurse.

We are thrilled to welcome Lauren to the Forward Journey family and look forward to the knowledge, compassion, and dedication she will bring to our program! 💙

Calling all caregivers! The 16th Annual Easterseals Delaware & Maryland's Eastern Shore Caregiver Conference is coming up on Wednesday, August 26 at Bally’s Hotel Resort in Dover, DE. There will also be an option to attend virtually.

The theme of this year’s conference is “Taking Care of You”- focusing on helping caregivers recharge, find balance, and prioritize their own well-being.

The conference will run from 8:30AM to 2:15PM, with a great slate of activities planned throughout.
