As a mother, I know first hand how hard and stressful it was to find childcare for my two children. But after several attempts I was finally able to find that one special place. And my girls stayed with her for over 10 years! My career paths have changed and I'm finally doing what I love and so I established My Little Spunky Monkeys, LLC. I am a licensed level II provider through the State of Delaware and have completed TECE 1 & 2 (Training for Early Care & Education) which has allowed me to obtain my CDA. I am certified in infant/adult CPR, infant/adult first aid, and minor athletic injuries. I also have obtained a certified soccer coaching license and have coached instructional/travel/school youth soccer along with basketball and softball for over 10 years. I have my Delaware Medication Certificate, a cleared background/reference check, medical and TB clearance. I provide a non-smoking environment with an open door policy. It is important to me that when you bring your child here you leave with a smile and peace of mind knowing that they are properly cared for in a safe, nurturing, stimulating, and most of all a FUN learning environment! The first three years of life are crucial in terms of brain development. These are the few years of children’s lives are the key to their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. Family child care is in a home filled with warmth that has a sense of family because of multiple age children in a small group setting where the littlest ones can learn so much from their older peers. Children will also experience a more one-on-one care. A center has multiple classrooms filled with toys and equipment that are efficient and educational. Children generally experience larger group sizes by age with multiple care givers. My family care business incorporates the classroom into the home for the best of both settings. I want to inspire laughter and love as well as learning. Bringing smiles and stimulating the imagination will be accomplished through elements of wonder and surprise. A hidden place to snuggle with a book, a mobile of color that catches the light, a tank full of colorful fish, a basket of branches or pine cones are a few ways to stimulate a child’s senses with items of color and light especially from nature. My program is designed to encourage the development of positive self-concept, social/emotional development, physical, and cognitive skills. My small group size allows each child to get lots of love and individual attention. Your children will not just be going to a "day care" where he of she will be baby sat; they will learn and have fun, interacting with other children, and being cared for as if he or she were my own child. Call today for an appointment to visit and see for yourself what a wonderful place that I have for your child to be cared for. It will be their home away from home!
