New Castle Community School Corporation’s mission, in partnership with the parents and community, is to provide an appropriate educational program and learning environment which will effectively meet the educational needs of its students and help its students accomplish educational goals which are significant, durable, and transferable. We are incredibly proud to announce that New Castle High School juniors John Brewster and Kaeson Amman have been hired as apprentices at Citizens State Bank! They are joining a select group of just 50 sophomores and juniors statewide who are kicking off this brand-new initiative.

Through the Indiana Career Apprenticeship Pathway (INCAP), John and Kaeson are participating in a two-year Retail Banking program. Instead of just reading about the business world, they will split their time between the classroom and the bank, spending multiple partial days each week getting paid to learn. They will get hands-on experience with everything from customer-facing roles to branch management, while also learning about general business functions like sales, IT, and marketing.

It is a big step for them, and a proud moment for our New Castle community. Please join us in congratulating John and Kaeson on this outstanding achievement!
