📢 Henry County Schools Transportation Update 🚌
As we prepare to welcome students back to school on Wednesday, August 12, you may notice our school buses traveling throughout the county over the next several days. Our Transportation Department will be conducting dry runs of all bus routes to help ensure a safe and smooth start to the school year.

Drivers will also be contacting parents and guardians of students who have signed up for transportation. We anticipate that all transportation information, including bus assignments and pickup details, will be shared by Monday afternoon.

We hope to see you tomorrow for another Summer Meals pickup day! Please stop by Henry County High School between 10am and noon for seven breakfasts, seven lunches, a gallon of milk and a 32oz. juice. This program is available to ANY child 18 years old or younger. The child does not have to be present at the pickup, but if not, their name and birthdate must be provided by the parent or guardian. And remember, daily meals are available Monday through Thursday at the Henry County Public Library from 12-12:30pm with a weekend meal bag going home on Thursdays.

Big thanks to everyone in the HCPS Transportation Department! We make a great team!!

Posting this early today because we know they are already up and on the road! Today is School Bus Driver and Monitor Appreciation Day! We just want to take a moment to recognize and thank our entire Transportation Department for the work they do every school day to safely transport our students to and from school, on field trips, and to games and practices. Thank you for going the extra miles!!!

We have an immediate opening for a custodian at Henry County High School, and we are always interested in talking to potential bus drivers, bus monitors and substitutes for all positions. Due to the Winter Weather Advisory predicting more than 90% probability of freezing rain, sleet or snow during arrival times, we want to err on the side of caution and avoid having buses and student drivers on potentially icy, hazardous roads. Therefore, Henry County Public Schools will be closed today, Monday, March 2. This will be our final NTI day, NTI Day #10. Thank you for your understanding, and stay safe.
