Economy Elementary PTA

This year, Economy Elementary will be utilizing a "Wednesday Take-Home Folder". This folder is for the adult in the house and will contain important school information. Some forms will need to be returned to school, so please keep a look out for this folder every Wednesday!

We also have an amazing new school page on our district website. Please check it out periodically so you are up-to-date on all the happenings at Economy Elementary!

WHEELIE RODEO ON FRIDAY, SEPT 4!

What is a Wheelie Rodeo?
Bring your bikes, scooters, roller skates, anything that has wheels (along with your safety protection, such as helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, etc if needed). We will have fun riding around the bus circle outside of school, with our friends and family! Great way to meet your students new friends and families.

PLEASE NO MOTORIZED WHEELS WILL BE ALLOWED

This is a family event. Grownups must stay with child. Please bring a lawn chair to sit on. Sign-up paper coming home soon. This will be a FREE family event.

When? September 4th, 6:30pm-8:00pm

THE PTA WILL HAVE REFRESHMENTS FOR SALE

There is a link to sign up for a free bike that will be given out on Saturday, August 29th, 9:30-10:30 at the Beaver Valley Mall Storefront, just in time for the Wheelie Rodeo! These bikes are best for kids 4'6" of smaller.

They also have a free bike event in Monaca on September 8th at 5:30pm for larger bikes for kids 4' 7" or taller. There are different dates that come up monthly for bikes. If you have an issue on picking up a bike, please reach out to Melinda at (412) 527-1373 and we will can see if we can make arrangements!

Communicycle ensures everyone who wants a bike has one while building community along the way.

Please let your child know how breakfast at Economy Elementary for the first week of school will go.

Our school supplies breakfast and lunch to all students for free. Those that pack lunch, please remember that purchasing milk will be full cost. There will be a water dispenser that students can use.

Last week of summer! There will be orientation on Tuesday, 9:00am- 11:00am for kindergarten and preschool orientation will be at 12:00pm.

This year, as in the past, clear bookbags, lunchboxes and water bottles are a MUST. Student supply lists are listed on the school district website.

Please make sure all items, such as coats, sweaters, sweatshirts, backpacks, lunchboxes, etc. are all labeled with your child’s name.

First day of school is Monday, August 24
