We are looking forward to kicking off our 2026-27 theatre season with "Guys & Dolls, Jr." This is a fun show with 4 "leads", several featured roles, and a few different ensemble options. Ever wanted to know what it was like to wear fun, gorgeous 1950's costumes and star in a classic Broadway musical? Now's your chance! Students of all experience levels are invited to roll the dice and let luck be on their side with HCPS Theatre's production of "Guys & Dolls, Jr."

Lots of excitement in the Library Media Center!
🌍Humanities students explored different countries on the VR headsets
🗺Social Studies students analyzed maps in various atlases
🔎Freshmen English classes did a scavenger hunt and Breakout to learn about all the resources in the Media Center
📚Library Aides learned to process, check out, and organize materials
💻IT students are learning how to repair Chromebooks
✅️Mr. Webster set expectations with all seniors who have Career Development
📖Mrs. Burgin still has a few books left for book club and is excited to host book tastings with English classes the next couple of weeks!

HCHS Families, picture day is August 31st. Mark your calendars! For students who typically leave campus during the day, we will start taking pictures at 8am. We will be taking pictures from 8am-around 1pm, so they can come anytime during that window. Seniors will be taking their Tux and Drape pictures during this time also. If your student is absent, there will be a retake day in the future.

Nick Bryan won the individual championship at the Eighth Region All “A” Classic yesterday.

He ended with a score of 76 and defeated Adam Gutman in a playoff round for the individual title.

As a team, Henry Co. came in third with a score of 341. Congrats, Wildcats!

Learning was anything but boring today in Mrs. Villatoro’s class!

Our students were learning about the world in all kinds of ways!

We kicked things off with some globe races - I called out a country, and students raced to see who could find it first. Let’s just say things got competitive quickly.

In Humanities, students worked in groups to create posters about their assigned regions while taking turns using VR to virtually visit the countries they were studying. Such a cool way to make places on a map feel a little more real!

In Spanish 1, we played a vocabulary game called BANG and they got way more into it than anyone expected—which is exactly what you want when practicing vocabulary!

We also squeezed in a hacky sack challenge that apparently moved too fast for photographic evidence. 😂
