โค๏ธ๐ค NTSD Celebrates the New School Year! ๐คโค๏ธ
Neshannock Township School District officially welcomed our faculty and staff back to school today, Tuesday, August 25, with a celebratory picnic at Pearson Park!
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Neshannock Township Board of Supervisors โ Leslie Bucci, Joe Gierlach, and Steve Demofonte โ for welcoming us to Pearson Park and helping make this special afternoon possible.
It was wonderful to see colleagues reconnect, share stories from summer vacation, and look ahead with excitement to the new school year. Our administrative team โ Dr. Meehan, Mr. DiMuccio, Mrs. Flannery, Mrs. Measel, Mrs. Norris, Mr. Passarelli, Mr. Reynolds, Mr. Ulam, and Mr. Viggiano โ donned their Lancer aprons and greeted faculty and staff while serving the picnic meal.
The afternoon was made even more special with performances by our talented Lancer Marching Band and Lancerettes! ๐ถโค๏ธ
Following Dr. Meehanโs official welcome, Mr. Reynolds and Mr. Passarelli proudly recognized Mrs. Alicia Measel and Mrs. Donna Mott for 25 years of service to Neshannock Township School District.
Mrs. Measel has served the District in several important roles, including elementary teacher, junior high school principal, and most recently, Director of Special Education and Pupil Services. Mrs. Mott has spent 25 years helping keep Neshannock Jr./Sr. High School running smoothly as a dedicated and beloved secretary.

Dr. Meehan also presented Mrs. Judy DeMatteo, paraprofessional, with a special token of appreciation and recognition for more than 40 years of service to Neshannock Township School District. More than four decades of dedication is an extraordinary milestone, and we are incredibly grateful for Mrs. DeMatteoโs many years of service and commitment to generations of Lancers!

Welcome to Lancer Nation! We are thrilled to have each of you joining our team and cannot wait to see the many ways you will contribute to our students, schools, and community.
We are also incredibly grateful for the generosity of our local community partners, as well as our Board of School Directors, who are helping make the start of the school year a little sweeter by treating our faculty and staff to special back-to-school snacks and refreshments. Thank you to Preston Auto, the Neshannock Township Education Foundation, Neshannock Memorial PTO, and the Neshannock Township, Pennsylvania Supervisors for thinking of our staff and showing them how much their work is appreciated! โค๏ธ
Of course, this time of year is about much more than celebrating! Our teachers and staff have been hard at work preparing classrooms and curriculum, hosting student orientations, and participating in professional learning focused on our new communication platform, safety and security, health and wellness, academic standards, positive behavior supports, and much more.
