As our summer season has come to an official close, we are so thankful for all of the incredible memories that we created with staff, campers, families, caregivers, and our community as a whole. We know that we got to write our chapter in the history of camp this summer because of the people who came before us. To commemorate the end of our summer 2026 chapter we hosted our first 'Closing Ceremony'. Our staff spent time writing notes of reflection, some of our community groups came out to support us (thank you New Castle Garden Club and Joe's Trees), and together we planted a new pine tree in our pine forest that was originally planted with the work of Graylen Alley (one of camp's strongest supporters). This tree represents all of the people who were part of our summer in any way to honor the time and energy that will keep the story of Camp Easterseals Virginia moving forward. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of the story and know that this tree and the stories it represents is possible because of you!

We're excited to welcome current and future camp families, our community, friends, families, neighbors, and anyone interested in camp to come take a closer look at all we do. For four years we have LOVED hosting the Virginia Association of the DeafBlind (VADB) at Camp Easterseals Virginia and each year just keeps getting better! Thank you to all of the campers, SSPs, interpreters, volunteers, Easterseals staff, and everyone involved for bringing in so much fun, joy, and new experiences!

What an amazing experience!

This summer, we had the pleasure of hosting The Ability Experience team at camp as they made their way across the country raising awareness and support for disability organizations.

Congratulations to the riders and support crew on completing this incredible cross-country adventure! Thank you for the impact you're making and for inspiring others through your commitment to service and advocacy!
