Wilmington University Women's Soccer

Second year head coach Jeff Zoyac brought 14 girls to Wilmington's DAC Auditorium on Saturday, all signing on to join the Wildcats next fall for the 2016 season. Congratulations and welcome to Wilmington!

The Wildcats suffered a 2-0 loss at CACC leading Georgian Court on Tuesday, and now wait to see where they will be seeded in the upcoming CACC Tournament. The Wildcats finished 9-3 in CACC play but other teams still have games remaining that will determine the seeds. The Wildcats are currently third and could go as low as fifth place. After a scoreless first half, Georgian Court scored twice in the second half, with the second coming in the final moments to take Tuesday's game. Kierstyn Williams recorded eight saves in the loss. The Wildcats received a goal from Chandler Lages in the 62nd minute to defeat Caldwell, 1-0, on Homecoming Saturday. The loss was the first for the Cougars in the CACC while the win was the third in a row for the Wildcats. The Wildcats are now 5-3 overall and 5-1 in the CACC. Copyright 2015; WIlmington University. Loran Wyrough put the Wilmington University women's soccer team up, 1-0, with a goal in the 14th minute. But NSCAA East Regionally ranked No. 4 LIU Post tied the match late in the first half before scoring four times in the second half to win, 5-1. The Wilmington University women's soccer team took down Felician, 2-1, to improve to 2-2 amd 2-1 in the CACC. Chandler Lages scored the game's first goal before Loran Wyrough scored late in the first half which turned into the game winner.
