One enrolled in our Practical Nursing (LPN) program, while the other trained in our Commercial Driver's License (CDL) program. Through hard work, determination, and career placement, they each launched into rewarding careers.

Today, they're celebrating something even bigger—the purchase of their first home!

Congratulations are in order for Roy Arters of Delaware Skills Center - NCCVT, winner of the Training and Education category in the 2026 NCCER Photo Contest!

His winning photo highlights the value of hands-on instruction as adult plumbing apprentices develop practical skills, solve real-world challenges and build confidence alongside an experienced instructor. It's a great reflection that quality training is the foundation of a strong construction workforce.

A major investment in Delaware’s workforce future! 🚀👏

The Delaware Skills Center is proud to announce a $1 million federal investment secured by Congresswoman Sarah McBride to support the future of workforce development and expand opportunities for Delaware residents!

This transformational funding will help create a permanent home for the Delaware Skills Center and New Castle County Vo-Tech Adult Education Division — allowing us to expand training capacity, strengthen our programs, and continue preparing students for successful careers in high-demand industries.🎓🔧💙💛

🩺 Ready to Take the Next Step!

Our LPN students recently participated in an on-site job fair, with 22 local employers, as they near the completion of their training at the Delaware Skills Center. 💙 This valuable opportunity allowed students to connect directly with healthcare employers, learn about career opportunities, and begin building professional relationships for their future careers.

🌟 Starting strong and finishing even stronger! CNA Instructor, Keisha Jones, began the year with a 100% exam pass rate and closed out the year with another 100% pass rate. This achievement reflects exceptional teaching and students who were set up for success every step of the way. Congratulations to our CNA students and Ms. Jones on an incredible accomplishment! 🎓👏
