❗We currently have openings and are accepting applications for our Free Pre-K Counts Program for Fall 2024❗

This program offers FREE Pre-K to qualified families. The income guidelines are below.

Bright Star is a Star 4 facility. We offer a research-based curriculum and our teachers have degrees and a Pennsylvania certification in PreK. Free meals/snacks are provided.The owner is a Nurse/ Child Care Health Consultant. During the year, children will receive free dental, hearing, and eye screenings. We accept subsidized childcare assistance for before and after care for working parents. Our program runs 180 days a year and we are closed for major holidays.

If your child is 3 on or before August 31st and you meet the income guidelines, come tour our program to enroll. Please stop in or call 724- 657-9221 to talk to Debbie Marino or Dee Michaels.

To anyone that is on the waiting list for pre k counts at shenango school please call us because we have some spots open for your child. We are about a mile or 2 away from shenango school. You don’t have to wait. Call me @ 724-944-0640 or 724-657-9221. Our program is great and my teachers are the best and they have the same education the teachers at shenango have. Come tour our two pre k counts sites.

The PreK Counts Teachers and Staff at Bright Star Leaning Center celebrated another successful school year. Our students have worked diligently all school year to prepare themselves for the 2023-2024 school year as they make their way into kindergarten! Wednesday night we celebrated their success with a graduation ceremony followed by a carnival and refreshments. On behalf of the PreK Counts team, we would like to wish our kindergarten graduates a happy and healthy summer, and the best of luck as they make their way into kindergarten!

Bright Star Learning Center is looking to hire 1 or 2 Assistant Group Supervisors. Requirements are: High school diploma, ability to pass FBI fingerprint , child abuse, criminal background, and National S*x offender registry clearances. Must have current physical and mantoux or willing to obtain. Must be willing to learn and take the required trainings necessary. Bright Star can help with the cost of clearances, physical and Mantoux if necessary. Must enjoy working with children. Patience is a requirement of this job. Must be of good moral standards. Bright Star is currently looking to hire a Lead Pre K Counts teacher. Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. Elementary Education is acceptable w/ Pre K Certification or willingness to become Pre K Certified. This position starts in September and finishes in June with the ability to work summer months if desired. Competitive salary. Serious inquiries only.
