It feels so good to be together again.

Faculty and staff returned to campus this week for professional development, divisional meetings and to ready classrooms for students’ arrival. But before getting down to business, there were hugs to give, summer stories to share and plenty of catching up to do.

We welcomed new colleagues, reunited with old friends and heard about travels, weddings, new babies, children heading off to college and all that has happened since we said goodbye in June.

The classrooms are taking shape, plans are being made and campus is beginning to feel like itself again.

Now we just need the students.

See you September 9. We can’t wait. ❤️

The new fields (and bleachers!) are looking great!

Projects on this scale take a community. Thank you to our earliest campaign donors, the Trailblazers, whose generosity helped set Deep Roots, Bright Futures in motion and made progress like this possible.

We can’t wait to see our students out here!

The Apprentice Teacher Training Program is total immersion into the teaching profession. The school provides a stipend of $30,000 to its first-year apprentices (with an increase for each following year of service), and housing is available for a modest fee. There is some financial support for apprentices who wish to begin graduate work. Through this comprehensive work experience, apprentices who complete the program gain a unique stepping-stone for a career in teaching. Upon completion of the Apprentice Teacher Training Program, most apprentices either apply for lead teacher positions or enter graduate school. This is a full-time position for the 2026-2027 school year. Classes begin Sept 9.

How does it work?
Each apprentice works directly alongside a lead teacher, and together, they provide instruction to students in language arts, mathematics, and social studies. On Wednesday afternoons, apprentices attend faculty meetings and participate in seminars that address a variety of topics in teaching and education.

We currently have one open position in Grade 2 for 2026-2027, but would also be happy to discuss opportunities for next year in Kindergarten through Grade 6.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Successful experience working with children
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated interest in teaching
- Understanding of technology and its applications in schools

- College or university GPA of 3.0 or above preferred
- Experience with Responsive Classroom approach

Heavy equipment. Big progress. 🚜

There’s been no shortage of activity at our athletic fields! A steady parade of dump trucks has been delivering gravel, crews are spreading it across the site, fencing is beginning to take shape and trenches are being dug to bring power out to the fields.

Every day brings another visible step forward, and we can’t wait to see it all come together this September.

Rising first and second grade campers blissed out in Mr. Matt Matt’s Health & Wellness “spa day inspired” activity!
