Wrapping up another busy week of hands-on learning at the farm! Featuring some of our swine practicum students 🐷

Introduction to Animal Handling is a great opportunity for students to get a taste of working with a variety of farm animals. This week, we kicked off our Small Ruminant portion of the course!

Students learned about the flight zone, point of balance, safe handling techniques, and how to safely catch, halter, and lead sheep. It’s a hands-on experience that puts classroom concepts into practice and helps students build confidence working with livestock.

We love giving our students the opportunity to learn by doing!
