Promise Culinary School Promise Culinary School is a community based organization that offers state-approved training in Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry Arts.

Our state-approved vocational programs in Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry Arts offer extensive training in the culinary field. Our highly skilled professional staff instruct on a wide variety of cul

inary fundamentals such as knife skills, cooking methods, catering, and much more. Our Baking and Pastry Arts program gives a thorough education on the fundamentals of baking and pastry, including breads, cake preparation, plated desserts as well as alternative diet options such as vegan, dairy-free and diabetic friendly desserts and more. Job placement assistance is also available for all graduates. The program has trained over 950 culinary professional since its creation. Statistically speaking, over 90% of our graduates emerge from our school with a job or business in the culinary field. Promise Culinary School is the only community-focused cooking program offered in the area. We work directly with county workforce and labor development throughout the state to ensure that students who are in need of financial aid can attend with little to no cost to them. This can include course materials, along with a living stipend. As an organization, Elijah's Promise has worked hard to make the program accessible to any individual interested in the culinary field, regardless of history or financial standing; we have not raised our tuition since the program's inception in 1997. Promise Culinary School, (PCS), is part of Elijah's Promise, a non-profit that serves over 400,000 free meals to the community a year in and around Middlesex County, NJ. Opened in 1996 PCS is a New Jersey state-certified job training program. We offer affordable hands-on culinary, baking, pastry and advanced cake decorating training. Our students learn the essential skills necessary to work in the food service industry, obtain employment, and develop both life and entrepreneurial skills.
