Founded at the University of Alabama on March 9, 1856, Sigma Alpha Epsilon is one of the oldest Fraternities in North America. Since its creation, the fraternity has exploded in size, with over 325,000 initiated brothers. Currently, there are 15,000 active collegiate members at 235 different schoo
ls across the nation, with a rich alumni base of 200,000 men. Newly formed and quickly growing, Sigma Alpha Epsilon at RU is an exciting fraternity to be a member of. All members have the ability to play an important role in determining what our chapter will become--and we have our sights set high. The opportunity to shape and influence an organization like ΣAE in its early stages cannot be found in many other chapters at Rutgers. Joining the ranks of ΣAE here at Rutgers gives one the chance to bond with new men and make valuable connections while being able to give back to the community. Although the social aspect makes college life a lot more enjoyable, we strive to show Rutgers University students as well as the world that there is much more to Greek life than being sociable.
