Due to the changing weather forecast, the CSDNB Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony has been delayed and will now begin at 11:00 AM today, Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Veterans Memorial Stadium. This delay will allow additional time for weather conditions to improve and ensure a safe ceremony for graduates, families, and guests.
Graduates must report to New Britain High School by 9:00 AM.
The graduation ceremony will begin promptly at 11:00 AM.
Graduates and guests should dress appropriately for the weather. Personal umbrellas will be permitted inside the stadium; however, tents, canopies, and other large coverings will not be allowed in the bleachers to ensure clear sightlines and safe access for all attendees.
Additional updates, if necessary, will be shared via email, phone, district social media channels, and on CSDNB.org.
We appreciate your flexibility and look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of the Class of 2026 this afternoon.
đ¤âď¸ When it comes to important announcements, sometimes you need to call in the professionals!
This week, the CSDNB social media team handed the microphone over to Gaffney Elementary Schoolâs student announcers, Isabella and Christopher, for a special districtwide summer forecast. đ¤ď¸đ
From staying cool at New Britainâs pools and splash pads to finding free weekday breakfasts and lunches for students, theyâre sharing everything you need to know for a safe, fun, and memorable summer.
đĽ Tune in for this special forecast from two of our favorite communicators! đ
đSome heroes donât wear capes. Theyâre people who simply step up when someone needs them most.
Recently, Smalley Elementary School parents Kara Jamieson and Sakeena Ahmed were presented with Superintendent Challenge Coins for their extraordinary actions during an unexpected emergency at a school event.
When a fellow Smalley parent unexpectedly went into labor, Kara immediately contacted 911 and stayed in communication with emergency responders. Realizing the baby would arrive before help could reach the school, Sakeena remained calm, took action, and safely delivered the baby before first responders arrived.
Their quick thinking, compassion, and teamwork helped ensure a safe outcome for both mother and child.
This special recognition also brought the families together again for the first time since that unforgettable day. To celebrate the occasion, Smalley staff welcomed the districtâs newest little miracleâand perhaps our youngest future Beeâwith a special Smalley onesie. đđ
Congratulations to Kara and Sakeena, and a warm welcome to Smalleyâs littlest Bee. Thank you all for reminding us that community is at its best when people show up for one another.
