What a memorable day at Holmes Elementary!

Today we celebrated a very special milestone as Stanley earned his wings and helped us mark an exciting new chapter—our move into our beautiful new school building. Stanley’s friends even stopped by to join in the celebration, making the day extra special for our students, staff, and families.

We are incredibly grateful to all of the schools, organizations, and community partners who helped make this event such a success. Your support, enthusiasm, and commitment to our students mean so much to us.

As we look ahead to new beginnings in our new home, we will always remember this wonderful celebration and the joy it brought to our Holmes community.

Learning, creativity, and friendship came together in an exciting way in Mrs. Higgin’s STEAM class! 🎲✨

Mrs. Clark’s 4th-grade students put their engineering and design skills to the test by creating their very own homemade board games. After working hard to plan, build, and test their creations, they invited their kindergarten friends to join them for a special game day!

It was wonderful to see our older students take on leadership roles as they taught the rules, encouraged teamwork, and shared their creativity with our youngest learners. Smiles, laughter, and learning filled the room as students connected through play.

Great job to all of our 4th-grade game designers and kindergarten game testers for making this such a memorable experience! 🐉💙

A huge congratulations to Mrs. Hermenegildo’s Kindergarten class and Mrs. Lagana’s 3rd grade class for winning the attendance reward for their grade levels! 👏

Our Kindergarten students had a blast celebrating with a fun-filled bubble party and even got to keep their cool bubble wands! 🫧😊

Meanwhile, our 3rd graders lit up the gym during an amazing glow party yesterday full of music, fun, and glowing excitement! ✨💡🎶

What an unforgettable Opening Day at the New Britain Bees game! ⚾🎶

Today, our amazing chorus students proudly performed the National Anthem, and they did an outstanding job representing our school community. It was so wonderful to see the incredible support from fellow students, families, and staff who came out to cheer them on.

A huge thank you to Ms. Engle and Ms. Sullivan for all of their hard work, dedication, and passion in helping develop these amazing voices. Your guidance and support helped make today such a special moment for our students!

🌾🚜 Last Friday, our second graders enjoyed an exciting field trip to Indian Rock Nature Preserve!

Students had a wonderful time riding on a hayride, exploring the beautiful outdoors, and meeting some amazing farm animals up close. From learning about nature to making special memories with their classmates, it was a fun-filled day full of smiles and new experiences.
