Music Education in New Brighton This site is dedicated to information about music education in the New Brighton Area School District in Pennsylvania.

We are the New Brighton Area Band Parents (Booster Organization). This site aims to relay information about anything music related in New Brighton, Pennsylvania. This includes, but is not limited to: the New Brighton Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Percussion Ensemble, Chorus, Musical, Talent Shows and the like.

Congratulations to junior, Kate Nicholson! Kate, who plays the French horn, began her success by auditioning for the PMEA Regional Band after being selected for the PMEA District 5 Band Festival. She placed FIRST chair in all of District 5, qualifying her for the Region 1 Concert Band and a chance to audition for the PMEA All-State Concert Band.
We are excited to announce that this weekend, her regional audition earned her a chair at the PMEA All-State Band Festival in April. This is the first time in over 20 years that one of our students has earned this honor. We are so proud of you, Kate!

At PMEA District Band, Katelyn Nicholson placed FIRST CHAIR for French Horns and will be moving on to the Region I Band Festival!

Maximus Heitger placed third chair for Percussion and qualified as the first alternate for Region band.

Three of our New Brighton Choir Students had the opportunity to participate in the PMEA District 5 Choir festival at Hickory High School. The students rehearsed and performed an exciting choral program over three days, under the direction of guest conductor Dr. Lisa Wong.
