Had a GREAT first recital on June 5th, 2011 at 2pm. All students played and sang their best. It was wonderful to see so much progress. I can't wait for the next one, probably in January! Until then, I'm going to enjoy the summer weather!

December tip of the month: Whenever you are singing this month (especially with all the fun Christmas carols) try singing some harmony lines instead of sticking with the melody. Harmony can improve your ear for chords, pitches and tones and helps with staying in tune with others. Merry Christmas! Hope all your musical experiences are exceptional this month!

Vocal tip of the month: 75% of singing is your breathing. Correct breathing starts with taking low relaxed breaths with your stomach moving out and chest staying stationary. This type of breathing is the same as how your body breathes naturally while you are sleeping.
