CHERRY FRIDAY SCHOOL-AGE CHILDCARE is ready for enrollment! Please see all the information below.

ISD 2142 is excited to announce that starting the 2025-2026 school year, we will offer a new School-Age Care option during the day on Fridays for Pre-K through sixth-grade children. This program provides an excellent opportunity for your child to engage in fun, supervised activities at the end of each week.

The Friday School-Age Care sessions will run from 7:00 AM-5:00 PM, allowing parents additional flexibility on Fridays while children enjoy various age-appropriate activities. From arts and crafts to outdoor play and educational games, we aim to provide all participants with a safe and enriching environment.

Friday School-Age Care will be closed on Fridays for weeks that school is NOT in session, during inclement weather, and on major holidays.

Important

The information here does not include all information and policies. Please review the handbook in its entirety in the link above. It is the responsibility of the student's guardian to thoroughly read and understand the School-Age Care Handbook and the program policies. By doing so, guardians acknowledge their understanding of the guidelines, procedures, and expectations set forth to ensure their child's safety, well-being, and development while participating in the program.

Failure to follow policies may result in the termination of School-Age Care.

Cost:

Friday Fees:

$30 per full day, per student.

$20 for 5 hours or less, per student
***$20 - One-Time Registration Fee (non-refundable) for each student

There is a family cap of $80 for the registration fees. (children within the same household)

Care is not an option unless you have pre-scheduled your child. Families must register each child for Friday School-Age Care two weeks before the week of needed care. (For example: If I need care during the week of September 29, I will notify staff of my child’s attendance by September 15.) We want to make sure there is adequate staff supervision for your child. Exceptions will be made for new families and the first week of school.

Payments

Pre-payment is mandatory. Your payment will be automatically deducted for any scheduled attendance, whether your child attends or not. The fees will be deducted from your bank, cash, or credit card the week before your child’s attendance.

Remember: Payments will be deducted weekly, and payment must be processed and cleared for your child to be able to attend the week for which your child is scheduled..

Registration and Enrollment:

Registration is accepted for any student enrolled in St. Louis County Schools, if space is available.

Online enrollment is the primary tool for enrollment using the Smartcare child care software. This program allows you to update and access all information via an app on your phone or via a website/portal once you verify your account via the email from Smartcare/Vanco. Please verify your account immediately after enrolling. Balances are readily seen, and online payments can be made easily, among other convenient features. We also use the email feature, so please check your emails regularly.

Upon enrollment, by you or a staff member, you will be sent a confirmation email to set up your password and PIN. PLEASE DO THIS IMMEDIATELY, or it will expire. Please watch for notifications and emails from Smartcare. If you do not set this up, you will not have access to your child’s attendance, billing information, etc. Download the app or website portal from the link below or search: Smartcare for Parents
