Your school district's website is your marketing partner, assistant, and friend. It's working for you 24/7. More than likely, while you're sleeping, people are hitting your site. Make it work for you!

Here are some thought starters:

1. Are your photos engaging and current?
2. Does your superintendent have a welcome message?
3. Can users find the registration link easily? Do you have information on registration?
4. Is your staff content, resources, and external links located away from promoting your district?
5. Do you have a quick one pager, video, or page for potential families (about us, what we offer, why we're the best choice)
6. Is it clear to a new visitor what your schools offer? Do you have pages dedicated to the academic and extracurricular programs?
7. Do you have a few testimonials or quotes from teachers or parents?

One more tip! A website is a constant work in progress. Bring your IT or webmaster into the process with you as a communicator.

Billboards can be an effective tool in creating brand awareness.

For a school district, billboards (aka bulletins or junior posters) can also be used to convey a big concept in a simple message.

Think bold, clear, and simple.

Design elements can include - smiling students, mascots, brand colors, and happy staff.

The main thing to remember is to avoid overcrowding the board with too much information. It diminishes the effectiveness of your message and can be distracting.
