And just like that… another school year comes to a close.

Today was filled with so many special moments as we celebrated our incredible 5th graders before they begin their next journey into middle school. We are so proud of the growth, leadership, friendships, and memories they’ve made during their time at Oak Creek. Once an Ocelot, always an Ocelot! 🎓✨

We also loved welcoming back graduating seniors who once walked the halls of Oak Creek Elementary. Seeing former Ocelots return in their caps and gowns was such a meaningful reminder of how quickly time flies and all the amazing things our students will accomplish in the future. 🎉

Thank you to our students, staff, and families for another unforgettable year full of learning, laughter, growth, and memories. We hope everyone has a safe and wonderful summer! ☀️❤️

With everything happening during these busy last few weeks of school and so many amazing people to recognize, we got a little behind on sharing our Sunshine Spotlight recipients from the last few months… but they absolutely deserve their moment on our newsfeed! ☀️✨

Our Sunshine Spotlight Award recognizes staff members who go above and beyond to make Oak Creek such a special place for students, families, and one another. We are so grateful for every parent and staff member who took the time to submit nominations this year and help celebrate the incredible people on our campus.

Another special memory from the end of this school year was our End-of-Year Celebration Party! ❤️🍎

During this time together, we celebrated and honored some truly incredible members of our Oak Creek family. Congratulations to our retirees, Mrs. Corbin and Mrs. Staeb, for their years of dedication, love, and impact on students and staff throughout their careers. We are so thankful for everything they have poured into Oak Creek and education over the years. 💐

We also celebrated our Teacher of the Year, Mrs. DiPietro! 🎉

In addition, we recognized teachers for their years of service in Comal ISD. Thank you to all of our staff members for your continued dedication to our students and community!

What a wonderful way to celebrate the people who help make Oak Creek so special. 🐾

Another exciting memory from these last few weeks was our Career Day and Earth Day Lunch event! 🌎

Our Ocelots had the opportunity to learn about a variety of careers, hear from community members, and explore ways we can help take care of our Earth. It was such a fun and engaging day filled with learning, curiosity, and hands-on experiences for our students.

A huge thank you to all of our community partners and parents who joined in the fun and helped make the day so meaningful for our students. And a special thank you to Mrs. Trump for coordinating this awesome event for our Oak Creek students! 💚

One of our favorite collaborative memories from these last few weeks was Space Day led by Mrs. DiPietro! 🚀🌎✨

Our 5th graders and 1st graders teamed up for a day full of hands-on space exploration and learning. Students rotated through fun, interactive stations created to explore space-themed activities, teamwork, creativity, and discovery together.

It was so special watching our older Ocelots lead, encourage, and learn alongside our younger students. What an out-of-this-world day at Oak Creek! 🪐❤️🖤

Another memory rolling up.. Field Day was definitely one of our favorite end-of-year memories! ☀️🏃‍♂️

From relay races and games to lots of laughs and team spirit, our Ocelots had an absolute blast celebrating the end of an amazing school year together.

One of our brightest end-of-year memories was our STAAR Glow Party for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade Ocelots! 🪩💚

This celebration recognized all of the hard work, perseverance, and motivation our students showed during STAAR testing season. It was such a fun way to celebrate their efforts together!

We are so proud of our students for staying focused, working hard, and showing confidence every step of the way. Way to glow, Ocelots! 🌟🐾

Another favorite memory from these last few weeks was our final pep rally and house meetings of the school year! ❤️🖤🐾

We loved coming together one last time to celebrate our Ocelots and all of their hard work throughout the year. Students were recognized with Ocelot on the Rise Award, Thinkora Award, and Gravitas Award for showing leadership, growth, confidence, and our Oak Creek core values each and every day.

From the cheering to the house spirit to celebrating one another, it was the perfect way to close out an amazing year together! 🎉

To kick things off… a HUGE congratulations to our very first House Champions, GRAVITAS! 🏔️🩶 Their hard work, leadership, and dedication to showing our core values earned them this exciting and well-deserved celebration. We loved getting to celebrate this big accomplishment together!
