Stopped by to see our (almost) Kindergarten students. They were very excited to tell me if they were going to be a Dragon or a Unicorn next year 🐲🦄

Day two of - today we surprised teachers at our Dragon campuses with the news they had won a grant! So thankful to our Ed Foundation for all they do for our district 💙

Every year in May, we take time to celebrate our teachers and the incredible impact they make on the lives of our students each and every day. Teachers are often so much more than educators — they are counselors, nurses, cheerleaders, mentors, role models, and a steady source of support for students who need them most.
They are there on the best days, celebrating accomplishments and milestones, and they are there on the hard days, offering patience, encouragement, and care. They open milk cartons and ketchup packets, clean up messes, supervise field trips, chaperone events, and fill the bleachers to cheer students on. They write recommendation letters for colleges and jobs and celebrate alongside students when acceptance letters arrive. Every day, they design lessons that not only align to standards, but also make learning engaging, meaningful, and relevant to students’ lives. They can calm a room full of students with nothing more than a raised hand, a familiar signal, or a simple song.
Most importantly, our students love them, admire them, and trust them. I am deeply grateful for every teacher who has chosen this profession and especially thankful for those who have chosen to serve the students and families of NBISD.

Enjoyed our final Ambassador session of the year. Thanks to for hosting and sharing their dual language student leaders with us. Today Ambassadors learned about our MTSS systems and how we focus on Every Student. Every Day. 💙

Happy Administrative Professionals to these two amazing ladies! Susan greets, assists, answers all the calls and directs everyone where they need to go and always with a smile. Sue manages to get me, our Board, and so many others where we are supposed to be…and always with a smiling face. Don’t know how we would make it without them. Thank you Sue and Susan for all you do for NBISD 💙
