🎬🐺 The Wolfpack Showed Up and Showed Out! 🐺🎬

This past weekend, several of our incredible 5th Grade Gifted & Talented students represented Morningside at the prestigious 90-Second Newbery Film Festival!

Each GT team read a Newbery Award-winning book and transformed it into an original 90-second film complete with creative twists, student-written scripts, handmade sets and costumes, plus all the filming and editing done by the students themselves. Talk about talent, creativity, and teamwork!

Out of approximately 165 entries, TWO of our Morningside teams earned official nominations:
🎥 Best Cinematography
🎞️ Best Animation

The Wolfpack continues to prove that creativity has no limits! We are so proud of our students for their hard work, innovation, and courage to put their talents on display.

🌟A special SHOUT OUT to our MES Student Leaders for proudly raising and lowering the American and Texas flags each day! These students took the time to learn proper flag etiquette and are now passing that knowledge on to the next group of leaders. We are proud of the leadership skills they have developed at MES, and they will truly be missed! 🌟

Our 2nd Grade Reading Café was a storybook success!
