Freedom Academy and Mother's Day Out

FFC MDO seeks to establish an environment of learning where children grow in relationships, academically, and in their faith.

We will work to teach children healthy communication with others, how to solve problems, and encourage friendship through play.

Huge shout out to Nick with When Seconds Count. Our staff is fully certified in CPR and First Aid ⛑️. We hope we never have to put these skills to use, but in the event we do we are ready.

Looking for a unique kind of school experience for your child?

At Freedom Academy, parents and teachers work together in their child’s academic and spiritual growth. Our shorter school days and four-day week are designed for families who are committed to being actively involved in their child’s education.

We teach the curriculum, build community, learn to work together, and grow in our understanding of God’s love.

Just 3 openings remain for 2026–2027:
- 1 spot in 4th Grade
- 2 spots in 5th Grade

If a Christ-centered homeschool hybrid sounds like the right fit for your family, we’d love to connect.

Help us welcome Mrs. McCrary into a new role at Freedom Academy! Over the last few years, Mrs. McCrary served as our incredible academy aide for 2nd-5th grade math and enrichment. We’re overjoyed to see her step into this new role and share her enthusiasm with our kindergarten class!

If you would like to bless her classroom, here is her teacher wishlist: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1f3n0WyBDD5geeQ9zYBS1q8gQjpbJbn3D/edit

From Mrs. McCrary:

I am so excited to begin this new journey in kindergarten and feel incredibly blessed to be part of such a wonderful school community.

My goal is to create a classroom where every child feels loved, encouraged, and confident as they learn and grow.

I can’t wait to share a year filled with fun, discovery, new friendships, and lots of special memories!

Help us celebrate our 2nd and 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Parish! We love the heart, experience, and structure Mrs. Parish brings to her classroom. Her classroom is filled with great conversations for curious minds and she always points her students back to Jesus.

From Mrs. Parish:

I am blessed to be starting my 4th year teaching at Freedom Academy 2nd & 3rd
grade group. It has been my great honor and absolute joy to be a part of Freedom MDO and
Academy since its inaugural year in 2020. I have also been attending Freedom Fellowship
Church for nearly 26 years.

My husband Dale and I have 10 children between us and 12 grandchildren so our free time is filled with lots of baby snuggles. I raised 5 sons and 3 daughters, with my last kiddo entering her senior year of high school in September.

One of my greatest joys is sharing Jesus in such a way that kiddos come to understand how
much He loves them. Jesus is the center of all I do so that naturally carries over into teaching.

My goal is to create an environment where kiddos are able to grow their walk with Jesus as well as expand their academic abilities.

We’re going to have a fantastic ‘26-‘27 school year. I am looking forward to working with all of
the children you have so graciously entrusted me to teach

Help us celebrate our 4th and 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Guidry! We love the experience, excitement and encouragement Mrs. Guidry brings to her classroom. She prays for and with her students, seeking to grow them academically and in their walk with God. We appreciate the heart she brings to each day!

From Mrs. Guidry:

What I enjoy most about teaching is finding ways to make learning come alive for students. I love planning engaging lessons and seeing the moment when something finally clicks for a child. There is nothing better than watching students gain confidence and realize they're capable of doing hard things.
Teaching at Freedom Academy has been especially meaningful because I get to invest in my students academically, personally, and spiritually. I love getting to know each child's personality and helping them feel seen and valued. At the end of the day, I want my classroom to be a place where students feel excited to come to school and know that they are loved and encouraged every single day.

Help us give a friendly welcome to our new first grade teacher, Mrs. Jensen!

A bit about Mrs. Jensen:

Hello! My name is Serina Jensen, and I am so excited to begin my first year of teaching at Freedom Academy! My husband, Garrett, and I live in New Braunfels with our two dogs, Zuko and Bizzy. In our free time, we love taking our dogs on new adventures, exploring local coffee shops, and enjoying some great breakfast tacos.

I was raised by a teacher who instilled in me a deep love for education and a passion for investing in the next generation. My faith in Jesus is the foundation of who I am, and I strive to create a classroom where every student feels valued, encouraged, and inspired to learn. Over the past two years, I have had the opportunity to work in a school, and those experiences have strengthened my calling to become a teacher.

I graduated from Regent University with my bachelor's degree in 2025, and I am thrilled to begin this exciting new chapter. I look forward to partnering with families, helping students grow academically and personally, and celebrating many accomplishments throughout the year. I can't wait for a wonderful school year together!

Here at Freedom Academy, we’re busy getting prepared for the next school year!

As a Christ-centered homeschool hybrid, we provide the structure and academic support of the classroom while preserving the flexibility that homeschooling families value. We partner closely with parents to help students grow in knowledge, wisdom, and Christlike character.

The biggest difference in our program? Christ is the center of everything we do. From daily prayer and Bible instruction to weekly chapel, faith isn't an addition to the school day. It's the foundation.

At Freedom Academy, your child is never just another student. Each individual student is known, prayed for, encouraged, and reminded that they are deeply loved as a child of God.

While our K - 5th program is nearly full, we have limited openings in our 4th/5th grade class. Contact [email protected] for more info or to schedule a tour.
