Keep our kids safe as they head back to school! Always stop for flashing red school bus lights in both directions. Watch for children walking near bus stops, and put your phone down in school zones. Let’s work together to make this school year safe for everyone.

Members of NBHS Student Council and students from our Life Skills Class helped with our local mobile food pantry this morning. We are so proud of our students for giving their time and energy to serve others! Go Lions!

Meet the LIONS was a huge success. We are so thankful for our community and the support they show our students. We kicked off the first week of school with a celebration of all of our cheer, volleyball, and football teams from 7-12 grades, and the Military Stride with Pride Band. We look forward to watching you all represent the Seven-0 this year. Let's make it one to remember!

"Outstanding NBISD Students Develop Leadership Skills Through Lone Star Leadership Academy"

Education in Action is proud to recognize Brayden Morsman and Ava Phillips who participated in the 2026 Lone Star Leadership Academies, weeklong, overnight leadership programs that help students build confidence, strengthen leadership skills, and explore Texas history, government, culture, and careers.

Each participant earned the opportunity to attend through an educator nomination for the Lone Star Leader Award, which recognizes students for leadership potential, academic achievement, and school and community involvement. Throughout the Academies, students developed essential leadership skills while building confidence and forming friendships with other high-achieving students from across Texas.

The NBHS Senior Class of 2027 started their final year right with an unforgettable Senior Sunrise at the Skybox in our brand-new Athletic Complex. The students enjoyed stunning views as the sun came up, donuts and juice shared with close friends, visiting with classmates to catch up on what their summer break had in store, and epic group photos to kick off the countdown to graduation. The best year of high school is officially underway. Let's make every single moment count!
