Neil Earl Stroth, age 90, of South Webster went to be with Jesus on December, 19th, 2022, at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, OH. He was born May 7, 1932, in New Martinsville, WV to the late Leonard and Nettie (Simmering) Stroth.
He is survived by his wife Janet (Hollback) Stroth of South Webster; daughter Suzi (Kevin) Lloyd of Minford; son Jeff (Holly) Stroth of Jackson; grandsons, Matt (Sarah) Lloyd of Minford, Seth (Morgan) Lloyd of Tampa, FL, granddaughters Kendra (Ben) Allen of Portsmouth, Emma and Marley Stroth of Jackson; great grandchildren: Addi and Austyn Lloyd, Quinn and Cora Allen.
Neil graduated from South Webster High School in 1950 and then graduated from Ohio University in 1954 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial Arts. Following graduation, he was drafted into the United States Army, served basic training in Fort Knox, Ky and was then deployed to Baumholder, Germany.
Neil and Jan were married on August 9th, 1957 at Christ United Methodist Church in South Webster. Neil (aka Poppy) enjoyed spending time with family and attending his grandkids sporting events and activities. Neil enjoyed woodworking, golfing, and cheering for the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. Neil also spent his time working on restoring cars.
He was a member of the Union Free Will Baptist Church since 1981 and enjoyed singing in the choir and serving as a deacon of the church.
Private graveside service for immediate family will be held on December 22nd,2022 at 1:00pm at the South Webster Cemetery and will be officiated by Pastor Zack Conkel.

If anyone would like to send Dad Charlie Bond a note, he will be at Karen's for another couple of weeks. Mom's wishes were to be cremated and no funeral. We will have a party somewhere down the road when we can all safely get together again. We are asking for donations to the scholarship fund that we set up in Dad's name years ago in lieu of flowers. We will give out a scholarship in Mom's name this year. Will post that information later. Karen Bond's address: Charles Bond, c/o Karen Bond, 12521 Schlayer Ave., Baton Rouge, LA 70816. ATTENTION ALL INTERESTED GLENWOOD HIGH SCHOOL ALUMNI:

It has come to our attention that many have not received this year’s Alumni Reservation Letter. To aid in all those who want to come, had planned to attend, and fell into the category of NOT receiving a reservation form I have scanned a copy of the form below. Please print this out. Fill out the form and return it to the address on the form with your reservation money.

The Banquet is July 27, 2019.

Our Reservation Deadline is July 20, 2019.

If you can’t print this form and didn’t get a letter and still plan to attend the banquet this year please notify an Alumni Association Committee member. My address and phone number are listed on the form. Also our current Treasurer’s address and number are listed on the form. We want to work with any planning to attend. So contact us immediately.

ATTENTION GLENWOOD HIGH SCHOOL 2019 GRADUATING SENIORS AND ALUMNI

** Starting today, April 1, 2019,
New Boston Alumni Association Merit Scholarship and Alumni Additional Scholarship applications are at the Guidance Counselor’s office at New Boston Local School. Applications may be picked up during school operating hours. The applications contain 4 pages each and are self explanatory. The deadline to have fully filled out applications returned is April 22, 2019. **
