Neil Earl Stroth, age 90, of South Webster went to be with Jesus on December, 19th, 2022, at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, OH. He was born May 7, 1932, in New Martinsville, WV to the late Leonard and Nettie (Simmering) Stroth.
He is survived by his wife Janet (Hollback) Stroth of South Webster; daughter Suzi (Kevin) Lloyd of Minford; son Jeff (Holly) Stroth of Jackson; grandsons, Matt (Sarah) Lloyd of Minford, Seth (Morgan) Lloyd of Tampa, FL, granddaughters Kendra (Ben) Allen of Portsmouth, Emma and Marley Stroth of Jackson; great grandchildren: Addi and Austyn Lloyd, Quinn and Cora Allen.
Neil graduated from South Webster High School in 1950 and then graduated from Ohio University in 1954 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Industrial Arts. Following graduation, he was drafted into the United States Army, served basic training in Fort Knox, Ky and was then deployed to Baumholder, Germany.
Neil and Jan were married on August 9th, 1957 at Christ United Methodist Church in South Webster. Neil (aka Poppy) enjoyed spending time with family and attending his grandkids sporting events and activities. Neil enjoyed woodworking, golfing, and cheering for the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. Neil also spent his time working on restoring cars.
He was a member of the Union Free Will Baptist Church since 1981 and enjoyed singing in the choir and serving as a deacon of the church.
Private graveside service for immediate family will be held on December 22nd,2022 at 1:00pm at the South Webster Cemetery and will be officiated by Pastor Zack Conkel.
