🐻💙 Brinson Bear Cubs Are Feeling the Love! 💙🐻

A HUGE thank you to Riverside Subaru for their incredible generosity through the Adopt a Classroom event on Friday, August 28!

Riverside Subaru generously donated boxes of school supplies to Brinson Memorial Elementary, helping make sure our teachers and students have the materials they need for a successful school year.

We are also excited to celebrate six of our amazing teachers who were selected to receive Adopt a Classroom boxes, along with $500 each to spend on materials and resources for their classrooms!

🌧️☀️ The hot and muggy arrival turned into a monsoon dismissal, but everything in between was a success! 💙🐻

Our Brinson Bear Cubs had an AMAZING first day! We are so proud of how they showed up, learned, laughed, and made memories together. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead! 🐻💙

🚗 Carpool Reminders & Updates! 🚗

Help us keep our students safe and the traffic moving smoothly! Please check out the attached diagram for our carpool flow and review the key details below:

🌅 Morning Drop-Off

1 Lane Open: Use the lane closest to the building.

Be Ready: Staff will be on hand to assist during morning carpool, so please ensure your child is ready to exit the car quickly and safely as soon as you stop.

☀️ Afternoon Pick-Up

2 Lanes Open:

Lane 1 (Closest to building): Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and all siblings.

Lane 2 (Closest to bell tower): 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade.

Patience Please: We ask that all parents remain patient as we work to get every student to their car safely during afternoon dismissal.

Correct Lane Required: If you are in the wrong lane, staff will ask you to pull up and park so we can walk your child to you. Students are never allowed to walk between cars during dismissal.

Display Car Tags: Keep your tag visible in the windshield so staff can call students quickly.

🌧️ Inclement Weather

Rain Dismissal Plan: In the event of bad weather, we will switch to our rain dismissal process, which operates as a single lane closest to the building.

⚠️ Safety Rules to Remember

No Staff Lot Parking: Parents are not permitted to park in the staff lot to bypass the carpool line.

Right Turn Only: No left turns out of the school onto Old Cherry Point Road during morning or afternoon carpool. All vehicles must turn right to keep traffic moving.

We are looking forward to seeing all of our Brinson Bear Cub families on Thursday, August 20, from 3:00–6:00 PM for our floating Back to School Orientation!
