In a remarkable single-year turnaround, Riverside Leadership Academy is excited to announce significant gains across major academic performance metrics today, moving from not meeting annual growth standards to officially meeting growth expectations and raising its overall school performance grade from a D to a C.
The substantial progress reflects targeted instructional strategies, scholar dedication, and the commitment of educators and staff over the past school year.
Key Highlights of Our Academic Gains
Overall Academic Growth & Achievement:
• Overall Growth Score: Soared from 50.0 to 73.7, surpassing state benchmarks to meet growth standards.
• Overall Achievement: Increased from 44.9 to 52.5, driving the school’s letter grade improvement.
Reading (Grades 3–8):
• Proficiency: Climbed from 47% to 54%.
• Growth Score: Rose sharply from 57.0 to 77.7.
Mathematics:
• Math Growth: Growth increased from 51.7 to 70.9, demonstrating strong year-over-year scholar learning gains.
Science:
• Demonstrated dramatic improvement, moving from 23.5% proficiency (Grade 5) last year to 69% proficiency across grades 5 and 8 this year.
