Meet our adult pottery program guru, Carmie Morris! Carmie has been creating with her hands since she was young, but pottery truly stole her heart! There’s something magical about taking a lump of clay and turning it into something beautiful (or delightfully wonky!).

Whether you're trying the pottery wheel for the first time or discovering the joy of hand-building, her goal is to make the studio a place where everyone feels welcome to play, experiment, laugh, and create.

Teen Art Camp: August 3-5, 1:30 - 3:00, 11-17yrs Discover the intricate art of bead stacking and 3D design with our 3D Bead and Sequin Design Workshop! This engaging activity invites teens to explore their creativity through the colorful world of beads and sequins. Using an embroidery hoop as your canvas, you'll learn how to craft stunning, three-dimensional designs that capture light and imagination.

Our mission with the Creative Cafe is to create a welcoming space to escape and play. We envisioned people coming with friends or family or even by themselves and spending time unplugged and connecting with each other or their inner child. And New Bern, you have completely blown us away by bringing our vision to life! In just three short weeks we have seen some beautiful connections, inspired art and people feeling like they can slow down and take a deep breath. We've met family and friends from out of town and watched as people learned something new about someone they love. This artwork was made by someone who has come three times now and his wife has been amazed by his talent each time they come. It excites me to think about learning something new about someone you know so well. That's one way we grow to love each other even more. Thank you to everyone who has visited. This past weekend at Art House Creative Cafe was truly magical! We had friends spending time with one another while they created collages that tell a story, drew Powerpuff Girls and even a portrait of a friend to commemorate the night.

Every Thursday and Friday evenings from 6:00-8:00, Saturday 1:00-6:00, we invite you to gather, relax and let the busy week roll off your back.
