Comic artists age 9 to 17 are invited to a new workshop focused on DRAWING DYNAMIC POSES with guest teacher Roger Andrews of SketchyGOichie! Roger will show the group how to illustrate our original characters in active positions, using colored pencils and markers on paper. These lessons will add drama, impact and dimension to our designs!

Want to try watercolor? The next two projects in my Creative Escapes series will focus on this popular summer-friendly medium.
On Sunday, June 7 from 2-5, we’ll be painting a scene of beach stones by mixing complementary colors to get rich neutrals.
On Sunday, July 19 from 2-5, we’ll paint a beach landscape and adding colored pencil details.
All skill levels are welcome! $75 tuition includes all art materials. We meet in person in my sunny, spacious studio at Hatch Street Studios in New Bedford.

What a great day for my excellent student, Alex Hamilton, shown here with his family (standing next to his mom) at his solo show in my classroom at Hatch Street Spring Open Studios last Saturday! Alex sold 9 of his artworks, including acrylics on canvas and colored pencil works on paper. I am so happy for him, to receive such a positive response to his work. Congratulations, Alex!
