🎭 First Grade Field Study Fun! 📚✨

Our first graders had an amazing time visiting the newly renovated Zeiterion Theater to see Cat Kid—a fun and energetic show based on the book series they know and love, and a spin‑off of Dog Man!

The performance shared a wonderful message about creativity and writing. The characters began by worrying that they didn’t know what to write about, but by the end, they learned that anything—big or small—can become a story. It was a joyful and inspiring reminder for our students that everyone has ideas worth sharing.

We’re so proud of our students for their enthusiasm and grateful for this memorable experience that brought books to life through the arts! 💛📖

🛡️ Celebrating Kindness at Congdon Elementary! 🛡️
We are so proud to recognize our Character Trait of the Month winners for February! Each of these students—one from every class—was chosen for consistently showing kindness through their words, actions, and care for others. Congratulations to all of our amazing students who help make Congdon such a welcoming and supportive community!

As we move into March, our new Character Trait of the Month is Perseverance 💪✨. We look forward to seeing our students continue to grow by working through challenges, trying their best, and never giving up.

All New Bedford Public Schools will be CLOSED on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
There will be no after-school activities and no New Bedford High School Evening classes.
Administrative and office buildings will also be closed on Wednesday, February 25th.
